We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable

Data Protection Manager (m/f/d)

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead internal projects and initiatives related to data protection. You will serve as the primary contact for data protection matters within designated business sectors, playing a crucial role in the establishment and adherence to our data protection standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary advisor for assigned business sectors on data protection matters, providing independent guidance on practical solutions, particularly in the implementation of new tools, systems, processes, and data-driven business models, along with their documentation.
  • Develop and maintain binding data protection standards for the HARTMANN GROUP.
  • Manage and document data protection requests independently, design and review contracts related to data protection, and conduct audits.
  • Assist the Head of Data Protection in enhancing the data protection management system across the HARTMANN GROUP, including interface functions.
  • Design and facilitate training sessions and workshops on various data protection topics independently.
  • Identify, evaluate, and communicate current data protection risks in collaboration with data protection coordinators within the HARTMANN GROUP.

Qualifications:

  • A completed degree in law, business law, business informatics, or a related field with a focus on data protection.
  • Extensive professional experience in data protection is essential, with certifications such as data protection officer or other relevant qualifications (e.g., GDD, CIPP/E) being beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection laws, particularly GDPR and BDSG, along with other pertinent regulations and audit processes.
  • Ability to understand IT-related issues and convey them clearly, along with proficient skills in MS Office.
  • A keen interest in digitalization and related legal matters, with a strong willingness to learn about new legal areas.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and structured working style, complemented by a confident demeanor, diplomatic skills, and the ability to present solutions assertively.
  • Fluency in German and very good English proficiency.
