Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and committed Data Protection Manager (m/f/d) to spearhead internal initiatives and data protection projects. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary contact for data protection matters within designated business units, playing a crucial role in shaping and ensuring adherence to our data protection policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned business units regarding data protection queries, offering independent guidance on practical solutions, particularly during the implementation of new tools, systems, and processes.
  • Develop and maintain binding data protection policies for the HARTMANN GROUP.
  • Manage and document data protection inquiries, draft and review data protection agreements, and perform data protection audits.
  • Assist the Head of Data Protection in enhancing the data protection management framework of the HARTMANN GROUP, collaborating with various functions.
  • Design and facilitate training sessions and workshops on diverse data protection subjects.
  • Identify, evaluate, and communicate current data protection risks in collaboration with data protection coordinators across the HARTMANN GROUP.

Qualifications:

  • A completed degree in law, business law, business informatics, or a related field with a focus on data protection.
  • Several years of professional experience in data protection, with certifications such as Data Protection Officer or other relevant credentials (e.g., GDD, CIPP/E) being advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of data protection legislation, particularly GDPR and BDSG, along with experience in conducting audits.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, along with proficient skills in MS Office.
  • A keen interest in digital transformation and related legal challenges, with a strong willingness to learn about new legal domains.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and structured working style, complemented by a confident demeanor, diplomatic skills, and the ability to present solutions assertively.
  • Fluency in German and strong English language skills.
