SCADA Technical Support Team Leader

The Plant Technical Support NCE division is a vital part of Technical Support NCE, dedicated to providing technical expertise to the Service sector across northern and central Europe.
Key responsibilities of this department include: Offering direct assistance to service technicians in diagnosing and resolving issues, conducting remote troubleshooting for Power Plant Controllers and SCADA systems, executing remote software updates, crafting operational guidelines, addressing technical inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders, and participating in client discussions.
Our aim is to deliver exceptional technical support to the NCE regions' Service teams, both onshore and offshore, minimizing wind farm downtime and maximizing operational efficiency.
As a member of the Plant Technical Support NCE team, you will collaborate with a highly skilled and dedicated group, leading the implementation of Vestas' strategic objectives while supporting Service teams and local business units with technical insights, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
Key Responsibilities
In your role as Team Leader, you will oversee a group within the plant technical support team, focusing on server and data operations. Your responsibilities will include developing the team to adapt to the evolving demands of the industry. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of products and services that meet customer expectations.
- Manage team members with an emphasis on process enhancement.
- Serve as a role model, ensuring the team meets essential criteria and performance indicators.
- Act as the deputy for the Manager of Plant Technical Support NCE when required.
- Contribute to the formulation of the technical support strategy and ensure its effective execution.
- Optimize team processes with a strong focus on achieving a high 'fix it first time' rate.
- Monitor turbine site performance, identify corrective measures, and initiate necessary actions.
- Provide prompt support to Service organizations.
- Review and manage requests through ticketing, ERP systems, and email communications.
Required Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience, preferably in the wind energy sector, with some supervisory experience.
- Proven experience in team leadership, skill development, and daily task support.
- Background in change management and process improvement.
- Technical expertise in SCADA system issues.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with SAP or Salesforce is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German are essential.
