SCADA Technical Support Team Leader

The Plant Technical Support NCE operates as a crucial segment of Technical Support NCE, delivering expert assistance to the Service sector across northern and central Europe. Our mission is to bridge the gap between Engineering and local business units, ensuring seamless technical support.
Key responsibilities of the department include:
- Offering direct assistance to service technicians in diagnosing and resolving issues.
- Conducting remote troubleshooting for Power Plant Controllers and SCADA systems.
- Executing remote software uploads and creating comprehensive work instructions.
- Addressing technical inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Participating in client meetings to enhance service delivery.
Our commitment is to provide top-notch technical support to Service organizations in the NCE regions, both onshore and offshore, with the aim of minimizing wind farm downtime and boosting operational performance.
As a member of the Plant Technical Support NCE, you will join a highly skilled and dedicated team, responsible for executing Vestas' strategic vision while supporting Service organizations and local business units with essential technical expertise, all while prioritizing customer satisfaction and safety.
Responsibilities
In your role as Team Leader, you will oversee a group within the plant technical support team, focusing on server and data-related tasks. Your leadership will be pivotal in developing the team to adapt to the evolving demands of the industry. Additionally, you will play a significant role in ensuring the delivery of products and services that meet our customers' expectations.
- Supervise team members with an emphasis on process enhancement.
- Serve as a role model to ensure the team meets key performance indicators.
- Act as the deputy for the Manager of Plant Technical Support NCE when required.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the technical support strategy.
- Optimize team processes with a strong focus on achieving a 'fix it first time' rate.
- Monitor turbine site performance, identify corrective measures, and initiate necessary actions.
- Provide prompt responses to support Service organizations.
- Manage and distribute requests via ticketing systems, ERP platforms, and email.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in the wind industry, with some supervisory experience.
- Proven experience in team leadership, skill development, and daily task support.
- Background in change management and process improvement.
- Technical expertise in SCADA solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with SAP or Salesforce is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English, with proficiency in German required.
