The Plant Technical Support NCE division operates under the Technical Support NCE umbrella, providing vital technical expertise to the Service sector across northern and central Europe. This role serves as a crucial link between Engineering and local business units.
Key responsibilities of the department encompass: delivering direct assistance to service technicians during troubleshooting and repair operations, conducting remote diagnostics on Power Plant Controllers and SCADA systems, facilitating remote software updates, crafting operational guidelines, addressing technical inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders, and participating in client meetings.
By joining the Plant Technical Support NCE team, you will collaborate with a highly skilled and dedicated group, leading the implementation of Vestas' strategic initiatives while supporting Service organizations and local units with technical expertise, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
Core Responsibilities
As a leader within the plant technical support team, your focus will be on server and data-related tasks. Your team will be dedicated to providing technical assistance and planning for wind farm operations. As the Team Leader, you will be instrumental in developing your team to adapt to the evolving demands of the industry. Additionally, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of products and services that meet customer expectations.
- Oversee team members with an emphasis on process enhancement
- Serve as a role model, ensuring the team meets key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Act as the deputy for the Manager of Plant Technical Support NCE when required
- Engage in the development of the technical support strategy and ensure its effective execution
- Optimize team processes with a strong focus on achieving a high 'fix it first time' rate
- Monitor turbine site performance, identify corrective measures, and initiate necessary actions
- Provide prompt responses and support to Service organizations
- Manage and distribute requests through ticketing systems, ERP platforms, and email.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in the wind energy sector, with some supervisory experience
- Proven experience in team leadership, skill development, and daily task support.
- Background in change management and process improvement
- Technical proficiency in SCADA system issues
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with SAP or Salesforce is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English, with proficiency in German required
