Job Overview:
As a pivotal member of the sales team at Rochester Electronics GmbH, the Sales Manager for the DACH region will report directly to the Director of Sales. This role is integral in collaborating with both Internal Sales and Technical Sales teams to implement the overarching business strategy of the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee customer engagement within the designated region, partnering with the Technical & Product Solutions Manager and Internal Sales Representatives to promote Rochester Electronics' offerings.
- Identify and target prospective clients, fostering relationships and crafting strategies to expand the customer base in alignment with the established business development objectives.
- Generate leads, assess business opportunities, and deliver compelling business presentations.
- Ensure precise and timely forecasting of new business prospects and revenue streams for the region.
- Utilize and maintain the CRM system on a daily basis to track customer interactions and sales activities.
- Provide exceptional communication and service to the customer base, effectively coordinating internally to prioritize active business opportunities.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region, with an expectation of at least 50% travel.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, and management within the electronic components or semiconductor sector.
- Proven track record of expanding a large territory while operating from a remote office.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Fluency in both German and English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities, adept at managing business partners and suppliers effectively.
- Experience in cultivating relationships with key decision-makers and successfully closing complex deals.
- Ability to multitask and manage various responsibilities efficiently.
- Proficient problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to maintain focus with minimal supervision.
- A passion for business and a commitment to going above and beyond.
- A positive attitude and a quick learner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (intermediate to advanced level required).
- A valid driving license is required.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for the role.
