Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Research Associate to join our team at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. This role focuses on the innovative development of electronic circuits tailored for inverter systems and their associated components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electronic circuits specifically for inverter systems.
  • Conduct electrothermal simulations of power electronic circuits utilizing LTspice.
  • Set up, commission, and characterize subsystems in our electronics laboratory as well as complete systems in the medium-voltage lab.
  • Engineer inverter power components with cutting-edge semiconductor devices, optimizing for switching and conduction losses while selecting appropriate components.
  • Engage in technical discussions with clients and provide support for their applications.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A scientific university degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience and expertise in electronics, circuit design, and measurement technology.
  • A collaborative spirit combined with an independent and goal-oriented work ethic.
  • Proficiency in both German and English.
