We are in search of a highly qualified and seasoned Senior Specialist in Power Electronics Control Systems, emphasizing AC-DC Multilevel Converters and DC-DC Converters. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive background in the design and enhancement of control methodologies for power electronic converters, along with their application in specially designed hardware control platforms utilized in various medium and high voltage contexts, including renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, and smart grids. As a Senior Specialist, you will create sophisticated control frameworks for modular multilevel and DC-DC converters and verify strategies through modeling and simulation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across departments and the seamless integration of control systems into the overall product architecture. You will remain informed about advancements in power electronics and evolve into a trusted in-house authority in Control Systems. Key Contributions Spearhead the development of advanced control frameworks and algorithms for AC-DC multilevel converters and DC-DC converters to enhance performance, efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Design innovative software and hardware control platforms for new applications in power systems. Execute thorough modeling and simulation tasks to validate control strategies under various operating conditions. Partner with internal cross-functional teams and external experts from academic institutions or research organizations to integrate control systems into the overall product design. Stay updated on emerging trends in power electronics technology; propose innovative solutions that can provide our products with a competitive advantage. Offer expert guidance on technical challenges related to medium and high voltage power conversion systems. Publish research outcomes in leading journals/conferences; represent the organization at industry events. Qualifications PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with a focus on Power Electronics/Control Systems. At least 5 years of professional experience in the design and implementation of control systems for multilevel converter technologies. Demonstrated success in projects involving high-power electronics applications. Profound understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) techniques applied to power electronic converter controls. Proficiency with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) for system analysis and design validation. Exceptional analytical skills coupled with a creative approach to problem-solving.
