Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Security Systems Engineer to join our team in Bremen. As a key member of our Satellite Systems Engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our satellite projects. Your primary focus will be on coordinating security system activities, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with customer security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical management and coordination of security engineering activities
  • Control, planning, specification, and verification of function and performance of security-related systems
  • Critical review and analysis of customer security requirements and flow down of security requirements to subsystem and equipment level
  • Technical coordination of security-related tasks with customer, subcontractors, and internal technical disciplines
  • Provide input for progress reports and meetings and contribute to project risk management in regards to security matters
  • Define test specifications for security tests and verification in alignment with AIT operation plans
  • Support security-related preparations of satellite tests and test reviews as well as on-site support of launch and flight phases

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, physics, or equivalent
  • Professional experience in satellite design advantageous
  • Good conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed communication and negotiation skills
  • High motivation, pro-active working approach, and strong sense of responsibility
  • Team-minded and ideally accustomed to work in internationally composed teams
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English, German language skills highly desirable
