The Director of Sales and Account Management is a key position at Experian, responsible for leading the sales and account management teams in the finance and payment sector. This role requires a strong sales orientation, excellent network management, and a deep understanding of the finance and payment industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sales and account management teams, ensuring they are aligned with Experian's standards, strategies, and targets.
  • Support national and international customers from the finance and payment industry, providing professional support, managing client relationships, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement the existing sales strategy, reviewing, improving, and executing it to meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's revenue growth.
  • Manage the budget for the department, including resources, hiring, and personnel planning, ensuring the team operates within set financial parameters.
  • Collaborate with product and solution management to innovate and enhance industry-specific solutions, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of customers.
  • Conceptualize and execute customer events, lectures, trade fair presences, etc. in collaboration with marketing, planning and overseeing customer engagement activities to boost brand visibility and customer engagement.

Requirements

  • Strong sales orientation and excellent network management.
  • Several years of experience and excellent knowledge of the finance and payment industry and in the areas of risk and fraud management.
  • Excellent network/contacts in the finance and payment industry.
  • Proven experience in solution sales and the support of major customers.
  • Analytical, conceptual, and entrepreneurial thinking skills.
  • Positive mindset and hands-on mentality.
  • Negotiating skills and closing strength, confident in communicating with decision-makers even at the C-level.
  • Very good communication and presentation skills in German and English.
  • Willingness to travel.
