Position Overview

We are currently seeking a

Project Procurement Manager (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary authority for all procurement-related tasks within a core project team, overseeing the initiation, coordination, execution, and monitoring of procurement activities for equipment and subsystems specific to a satellite project.
  • Identify and select appropriate suppliers and subcontractors through direct negotiations, restricted, or open competition.
  • Lead a team of subcontract managers dedicated to your satellite project, including the development of tender documentation (RFPs, ITTs, draft contracts, etc.), organization, and management of tender evaluations.
  • Engage in board meetings with and without customer participation, assist in preparing ATPs, LOLs, Preliminary Order Letters, negotiate change requests, and manage contract change activities, ensuring compliance with contract terms regarding quality, timelines, and costs.
  • Conduct regular visits to suppliers across Europe and globally, participating in project reviews and progress meetings as necessary.
  • Provide regular reports to the project manager (including monthly progress and status updates) and to the line manager (Head of Project Procurement Management).

Qualifications

  • A degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Extensive project management experience with a focus on financial and contract management, ideally within the space sector.
  • A strong technical background to comprehend complex technical requirements.
  • Confidence coupled with exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Advanced analytical and organizational skills, along with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
