Job Description

We are looking for a Project Procurement Manager (m/f/d) for permanent employment at our location in Oberpfaffenhofen.

Your Responsibilities

  • Act as the main responsible for all procurement-related activities within a core project team.
  • Initiate, coordinate, implement, and monitor all procurement activities of equipment and subsystems for a specific satellite project.
  • Select suitable suppliers and subcontractors through direct negotiation, restricted, or open competition.
  • Lead a team of subcontract managers working on your satellite project, including the establishment of tender documentation (RFPs, ITTs, draft contracts, etc.), organization, and management of Tender Evaluation.
  • Participate in boards with and without customer participation, support in the preparation of ATPs, LOLs, Preliminary Order Letters, etc., negotiate Change Requests, and take over Contract Change Management activities (CR and CCN process), supervise contract compliance (concerning quality, time, and costs).
  • Regularly visit suppliers in Europe and worldwide, participate in project reviews and progress meetings as required.
  • Report to the project manager (monthly progress and status reports, etc.) and to the line manager (Head of Project Procurement Management).

Your Qualifications

  • A degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or comparable qualifications.
  • Several years of project management experience with emphasis on financial management and contract management, preferably in the space industry.
  • A high level of technical affinity to understand technical requirements.
  • Self-confidence and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Enhanced analytical and organizational skills, economic way of thinking.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, knowledge of German is preferable.
