Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Procurement Manager (m/f/d) for permanent employment in Oberpfaffenhofen.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all procurement-related functions within a core project team, overseeing the initiation, coordination, execution, and monitoring of procurement activities for specific satellite projects.
- Identify and select appropriate suppliers and subcontractors through direct negotiations, restricted, or open competitions.
- Lead a team of subcontract managers dedicated to your satellite project, including the development of tender documentation (RFPs, ITTs, draft contracts, etc.), and manage the tender evaluation process.
- Facilitate boards with and without customer participation, assist in preparing ATPs, LOLs, Preliminary Order Letters, negotiate Change Requests, and manage Contract Change Management activities, ensuring compliance with contract terms regarding quality, timelines, and costs.
- Conduct regular visits to suppliers across Europe and globally, and participate in project reviews and progress meetings as necessary.
- Provide monthly progress and status reports to the project manager and line manager (Head of Project Procurement Management).
Qualifications
- A degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
- Extensive project management experience with a focus on financial and contract management, ideally within the space sector.
- Strong technical understanding to comprehend technical requirements effectively.
- Confidence and exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Advanced analytical and organizational skills, with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written; knowledge of German is advantageous.
