ISS | Institutional Shareholder Services is seeking a Senior Account Executive to enhance our sales initiatives across the DACH region. This role focuses on our comprehensive suite of Responsible Investment Solutions, which includes Climate Data, Ratings & Rankings, Controversies, Impact & SDGs, and Regulatory Solutions.
To excel in this position, candidates must possess a proven history of sales within financial institutions and a deep-seated passion for Sustainable and Responsible Investments, particularly in the realms of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) research and issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed revenue and renewal targets by identifying and securing ESG sales opportunities and upselling to current clients.
- Enhance ISS' ESG market presence and reputation within the investment management and asset owner sectors.
- Regularly evaluate ESG market prospects, develop and refine a sales strategy for the designated territory, and communicate updates with management.
- Maintain thorough sales and renewal reporting and forecasting.
- Collaborate closely with ISS Business Development Representatives and Marketing teams to define product offerings, services, and marketing strategies.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with existing clients and potential prospects.
- Document all client interactions and meetings in the firm's CRM system.
- Share pertinent industry insights and opportunities with the sales team and other departments.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in institutional sales and relationship management, with a strong focus on achieving revenue goals.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven success in relationship management, business development, and revenue generation, whether through direct sales or strategic partnerships.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong multitasking abilities and sound judgment to prioritize effectively.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Unwavering personal and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
