Our Maintenance and Reliability Engineering Team (RME Team) is a critical component of Amazon's commitment to innovation and excellence. As a global leader in e-commerce, we strive to stay ahead of the curve, implementing the latest technologies and identifying efficient work methods. As a Senior Maintenance Team Lead, you will play a key role in helping us achieve this goal, ensuring that our equipment and systems operate with the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and operating equipment and systems with the highest safety standards, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitoring equipment performance through visual inspections, condition-based monitoring, and scheduling additional maintenance as needed to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Leading and supporting the technical team during the shift, troubleshooting issues to expedite package processing and ensure seamless operations.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of systems and standardization of processes across the EU network, driving efficiency and productivity gains.

A Day in the Life:

You will oversee a maintenance team within a shift, ensuring all team members have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties effectively. This includes process monitoring to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines, as well as proposing improvements based on observations during shift work to make our systems more efficient and productive. You will also utilize tools like SCADA to monitor processes, support administrative tasks, and collaborate closely with your leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Completed technical vocational training recognized by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) or Craftsmen's Chamber (HWK).
  • Experience in leading teams and managing external companies.
  • Advanced German proficiency and basic English language skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of PLC-based control systems and legal compliance requirements.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive measures.
