About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Maintenance Manager to join our team at Amazon Horn-Bad Meinberg GmbH - O88. As a key member of our technical management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire technical area of our logistics center, ensuring smooth operations and high availability of conveyance and building systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a portion of the maintenance team and maintain automated sorting and conveying systems, material handling equipment, and building systems.
  • Ensure maximum availability of all systems and implement modern maintenance approaches like Condition Based Maintenance (CBM).
  • Address technical system breakdowns across shifts.
  • Establish and promote safety standards and a proactive safety culture within the team.
  • Facilitate continuous development of the team's hard and soft skills to support Amazon Operations growth.
  • Develop strategies for ongoing optimization of all systems based on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Collaborate in making strategic decisions as part of the technical management team.
  • Lead and support technical projects from inception to completion.
  • Analyze relevant KPIs to assess system performance and internal processes.
Requirements
  • Degree in engineering or relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous leadership experience in maintenance teams.
  • Proficiency in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Background in industrial maintenance, preferably with automated systems.
  • Project management experience.
  • Familiarity with modern maintenance concepts like CBM and TPM.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Fluency in German and English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of maintenance and building systems in a logistics center.
  • Experience with PLC-based control systems.
