About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Manager - Maintenance to join our team at Amazon Horn-Bad Meinberg GmbH - O88. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance team and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics center's technical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of maintenance professionals responsible for the upkeep and repair of our logistics center's technical systems, including automated sorting and conveying systems, forklifts, and building services.
  • Ensure the highest possible availability of all technical systems and implement modern maintenance approaches such as Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM).
  • Oversee the resolution of technical issues across shifts and ensure that all necessary safety standards are implemented and maintained.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the performance of our technical systems, including the use of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics.
  • Collaborate with technical management to inform strategic decisions and drive business growth.
  • Lead and support technical projects, including greenfield and brownfield initiatives.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform maintenance and operational decisions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
  • Proven experience in leading maintenance teams and implementing technical projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent German and excellent English language skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with industrial maintenance, particularly with automated systems and building services.
  • Knowledge of modern maintenance concepts and practices, including CBM and TPM.
