MCU Business Development Specialist

Job Title: MCU Business Development Specialist
Job Description:
As a key member of the Renesas Electronics business development team, the successful candidate will be responsible for expanding the company's 32-bit microcontroller business in the broader market and distribution channels.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and industry experience in microcontrollers or related applications engineering. They will be responsible for promoting marketing strategies, roadmaps, and marketing collateral to regional sales, FAEs, and distribution teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote marketing strategies, roadmaps, and marketing collateral to regional sales, FAEs, and distribution teams.
- Take ownership of engagements with regional sales, FAEs, and distribution teams to increase design-ins, improve demand creation, and find new markets.
- Ensure proper customer/project support by Regional and distribution FAEs and help prioritize support activities of product line applications engineers when necessary.
- Report market, competition analysis, and benchmarking for the best positioning of our solutions or creation of new solutions on assigned markets.
- Communicate effectively with management to report critical technical or business issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years or Master's in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of industry experience in microcontrollers or related applications engineering.
- Strong marketing and analytical skills complemented by strategic thinking.
- Experience with automotive customers and applications is desired.
- Self-driven, strongly motivated individual capable of taking full ownership of activities and involving other functions in the company or management when needed.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills and comfort in presenting to a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and internal cross-functional teams.
- Occasional domestic and international travel will be required.
