C4 Operations Strategist

Position Overview:

In a dynamic and demanding strategic landscape, the military seeks innovative thinkers who can envision the future direction of organizations to navigate the swiftly evolving operational context. Imagine leveraging your analytical expertise and operational planning background to assist clients in making informed decisions and crafting military command, control, communications, and computer (C4) campaign strategies to tackle present and anticipated operational hurdles. As a C4 campaign planning analyst, your operational planning and military communications proficiency will be pivotal in ensuring clients produce comprehensive and actionable planning documents and decision-support tools, enhancing their readiness to execute command and control in safeguarding national interests.

As a vital member of our dedicated team, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional planners and seasoned technical C4 specialists to devise and integrate C4 enabling effects while delivering assessment services and valuable insights aimed at enhancing C4 operational readiness within the designated area of operations. Your responsibilities will include supporting staff planning for the formulation and integration of theater campaigns, operational strategies, contingency planning, and Naval Integration initiatives. You will assist in reviewing crisis and contingency response operational concepts and contribute to drafting functional C4 policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and annexes for component-level contingency plans and steady-state campaign directives. Additionally, you will support security cooperation and interoperability planning and evaluations, as well as facilitate component-level involvement in combatant command and Service C4 conferences, working groups, and staff processes to align service capabilities with joint and service strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Over 8 years of experience as a Marine Corps communications officer
  • More than 5 years of experience as a Marine Corps planner in a collaborative environment
  • At least 3 years of experience in planning and executing large-scale C4 events necessitating coordination across multiple organizations and departments
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Service Component or Geographical Combatant Command headquarters staff
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, engage and collaborate within a team, perform action officer-level responsibilities, and deliver oral briefings and presentations
  • Capacity to manage the planning efforts of multiple concurrent events
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Graduate of Intermediate Level School, such as Joint PME Level 1

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience executing operations officer responsibilities in a C4 organization, such as battalion, squadron, or higher
  • Experience leading Operational Planning Teams
  • Familiarity with combatant command level joint planning
  • Experience drafting Operation Plan Annex K
  • Background in planning and executing Marine Corps or Navy C4 operations in joint and combined operations or large-scale exercises
  • Experience in the European or African Theaters
  • Understanding of the Joint Planning Process
  • Knowledge of Combined, NATO, Joint, Naval, and Marine Corps C4 doctrine and capabilities
  • Insight into Marine Corps' roles, missions, capabilities, and structure, along with the Navy or Marine Corps Planning Process
  • Completion of Professional Military Education

Security Clearance:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to fulfill eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
