at Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.
Role Overview:
As an Assistant Manager in Pricing, you will be instrumental in aiding the Kia EU Pricing team to enhance profit potentials across the entire Kia model range in Europe. Your duties will encompass the coordination of pricing strategies for new offerings, establishing and monitoring pricing objectives, and ensuring competitive pricing throughout the product life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate on retail pricing strategies for Kia models in EU markets, in alignment with Kia Corporation HQ in Seoul, South Korea. Assist in formulating pricing proposals for upcoming models, ensuring they are market-ready and profitable. Establish, evaluate, and refine market proposals for new model retail pricing, including standalone or option packages, optional features, and pricing variations across body types and/or powertrains. Support the creation of the new Kia EU Product Pricing IT tool. Act as the primary contact for markets and market management regarding pricing inquiries. Aid the Sales & Market Management teams in implementing appropriate transfer pricing (FOB) for subsidiaries and distributors. Analyze quarterly pricing positions for all models in designated markets, compiling comprehensive reports for our subsidiaries. Collect pricing intelligence on competitors and identify potential competitive pricing strategies. Address ad-hoc inquiries from Kia Europe and Kia Global Headquarters, covering new model pricing, quarterly price assessments, and other pricing-related topics. Continuously enhance new model pricing and reporting processes, methodologies, and systems.Required Qualifications:
A university degree in Business, Economics, or Finance. 2-5 years of pan-European experience in automotive pricing and product management, with a focus on analytics. Familiarity with automotive market analysis tools (e.g., JATO, Polk's Road to Data, IHS/Global Insight Industry forecasts). Strong quantitative and analytical skills to support critical decision-making. Interest in and capability to engage with customer research (designing questionnaires, collaborating with agencies). A passion for the automotive sector, including light commercial vehicles (LCV). Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel for data analysis, including macros, pivot tables, and data queries. Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a multicultural environment, with an understanding of Asian cultures/companies. Initiative, self-assurance, and resilience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.About Us:
