Role Overview:
This position is crucial for overseeing and managing the profitability of Kia's model lineup in Europe. The role involves evaluating vehicle pricing strategies, including new models and product enhancements, to assess their impact on profit and loss. You will collaborate with the Pricing team to formulate vehicle price proposals that align with Kia's profitability objectives across its European entities. Additionally, you will work closely with Kia HQ Finance to ensure a cohesive approach to model pricing and conduct various analyses to inform strategic pricing decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary duties include, but are not limited to:
(1) Management of Product Pricing:
- Work in partnership with the Pricing team to set financial standards for vehicle pricing in line with directives from Kia HQ and Kia EU.
- Evaluate pricing proposals from Kia EU subsidiaries, verify financial data, and facilitate the approval process.
- Ensure compliance with KEU guidelines and accuracy of financial figures.
- Engage with subsidiaries to collect necessary data and validate the reasonableness of submitted pricing values.
- Monitor and summarize the significant profit and loss impacts of any adjustments to current model prices based on profitability criteria.
- Coordinate with relevant teams at Kia HQ and Kia Slovakia plant to review Free on Board costs in pricing proposals and collaborate with the Marketing Pricing Team for FOB harmonization.
- Conduct various analyses to support strategic decisions regarding price adjustments, taking into account the competitiveness of value-added and total-added pricing.
(2) CO2 Management:
- Supervise CO2 management operations at the Kia EU level, including annual planning, monthly performance tracking, and yearly forecasts, ensuring adherence to Kia EU CO2 targets.
- Optimize product mix and allocation at the Kia EU level to maximize consolidated profits while remaining compliant with CO2 objectives.
In summary, you will develop and execute a variety of ad-hoc reports and analyses for Pricing and CO2 Management. You will also review related processes to enhance workflows, improve the quality of information, and promote efficient operations through standardized practices.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A university degree in Business Administration or Accounting/Controlling.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in finance, controlling, or product management, ideally in an international context.
Skills:
- Strong intercultural awareness and understanding.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in financial and management accounting.
- Advanced skills in MS-Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of SAP BI is a plus.
- Understanding of the Financial Controlling Framework.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High accuracy and responsiveness.
- Strong business acumen and attention to detail, especially with large datasets.
- Ability to summarize and report effectively to management.
