We are excited to announce a position for:
Manager of Product Price Planning (all genders welcome)
at Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.
Role Overview:
The primary objective is to oversee and manage the profitability of the model line for Kia in Europe, evaluating vehicle pricing—including new models, product enhancements, and model year adjustments—for their impact on profit and loss. Collaborate with the Pricing team to formulate vehicle price proposals that align with the profitability goals of Kia's European entities. Work in conjunction with Kia HQ Finance to ensure a cohesive approach to model pricing. Additionally, conduct various analyses to support strategic decisions regarding pricing adjustments.
Key Responsibilities:
The following are core tasks and responsibilities, but not limited to:
(1) Management of Product Pricing:
Partner with the Pricing team to establish financial guidelines for vehicle pricing in line with directives from Kia HQ and/or Kia Europe. Assess pricing proposals from Kia European subsidiaries, validate financial data, and facilitate the approval process with Kia HQ and Kia Europe. Ensure all financial figures comply with Kia Europe guidelines and maintain accuracy. Engage with subsidiaries to collect necessary information and confirm the validity of submitted values. Monitor and summarize the significant profit and loss impacts of any modifications to current model prices based on profitability guidelines. Collaborate with related teams at Kia HQ and Kia Slovakia plant to review Free on Board costs in pricing proposals, and work with the Marketing Pricing Team to achieve FOB harmonization. Conduct various analyses to support strategic decisions on price adjustments, taking into account the competitiveness of value-added and total-added pricing.(2) CO2 Management Oversight:
Supervise CO2 management operations at the Kia Europe level, including annual planning, monthly performance tracking, and yearly forecasts, ensuring adherence to Kia Europe CO2 targets. Optimize the product mix and allocation at the Kia Europe level to maximize consolidated profit while remaining compliant with CO2 targets.Overall, develop and execute a variety of ad-hoc reports and analyses for Pricing and CO2 Management. Review related processes and procedures to enhance workflows, improve the quality of information provided, and promote effective and efficient operations through standardized processes.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
A university degree in Business Administration or Accounting/Controlling.Experience:
Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in finance, controlling, or product management, preferably in an international context.Skills:
Strong intercultural awareness and understanding. Proficiency in English (both written and spoken). Expertise in financial and management accounting. Advanced computer skills in MS-Office (especially Excel), with knowledge of SAP BI being an advantage. Familiarity with the Financial Controlling Framework. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. High level of accuracy and responsiveness. Strong business acumen. Exceptional attention to detail, particularly with large datasets. Proficiency in summarizing and reporting to management.About Kia:
