We are seeking a qualified professional for the position of:

Manager of Product Price Planning (all genders welcome)

at Kia Europe Headquarters in Frankfurt/Main, Germany.

Role Overview:
The primary objective is to oversee and enhance the profitability of the model line for Kia in Europe. This includes assessing vehicle pricing strategies—covering new models, product enhancements, and model year adjustments—with a focus on their impact on profit and loss. You will collaborate with the Pricing team to formulate pricing proposals that align with the profitability goals of Kia entities in Europe. Additionally, you will coordinate with Kia HQ Finance to ensure a cohesive approach to model pricing and conduct various analyses to inform strategic pricing decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

The main tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

(1) Management of Product Pricing:

  • Work closely with the Pricing team to set financial parameters for vehicle pricing in line with directives from Kia HQ and Kia Europe.
  • Evaluate pricing proposals from Kia subsidiaries, verify financial data, and facilitate the approval process.
  • Ensure financial figures comply with Kia Europe guidelines and maintain accuracy.
  • Engage with subsidiaries to collect necessary data and assess the validity of submitted pricing values.
  • Monitor and summarize the significant profit and loss implications of any adjustments to current model prices based on profitability criteria.
  • Collaborate with teams at Kia HQ and Kia Slovakia to review Free on Board costs in pricing proposals and work with the Marketing Pricing Team for FOB standardization.
  • Conduct various analyses to support strategic decisions regarding price adjustments, considering competitiveness in value-added and total-added pricing.

(2) CO2 Management:

  • Oversee CO2 management initiatives at the Kia Europe level, including annual planning, monthly performance tracking, and yearly forecasting, ensuring adherence to Kia's CO2 objectives.
  • Optimize product mix and allocation to maximize consolidated profits while remaining compliant with CO2 targets.

Overall, you will develop and implement a variety of ad-hoc reports and analyses for Pricing and CO2 Management. You will also review and refine related processes to enhance workflows, improve the quality of information provided, and promote effective operations through standardized procedures.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • University degree in Business Administration or Accounting/Controlling.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in finance, controlling, or product management, ideally in an international context.

Skills:

  • Strong intercultural awareness and understanding.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Expertise in financial and management accounting.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS-Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of SAP BI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the FI Controlling Framework.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail, especially with large datasets.
  • Proficient in summarizing and reporting findings to management.
