Role Overview

The Copy Editor Intern will be instrumental in converting blog-style articles into high-quality audio content during this three-month unpaid internship. This role involves enhancing and refining written materials to ensure clarity, engagement, and consistency for optimal audio production. The intern may also edit social media content and other materials as required. Key responsibilities include:

  • Improving content quality by correcting spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors.
  • Ensuring all copy adheres to American English standards and enhancing clarity and readability.
  • Fact-checking information presented in materials for publication.
  • Applying the company’s Style Guide to ensure content aligns with the tone and voice of SolaVieve.
  • Occasionally performing tasks beyond the typical scope of this role.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Currently pursuing or holding a university degree in communications, journalism, or English.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional writing and proofreading abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capability to provide constructive feedback.
  • Creative conceptual thinking.
  • Aptitude for storytelling.
  • Effective time management.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in content editing.
  • Experience in start-ups or agencies.
