Role Overview

The Copy Editor Intern will play a vital role in transforming blog-style articles into high-quality audio content during this three-month unpaid internship. This position involves refining and editing written materials to ensure clarity, engagement, and consistency, specifically tailored for audio production. The intern may also edit social media content and other materials as required. Key responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing content quality and correcting spelling, punctuation, and grammatical inaccuracies.
  • Ensuring all copy adheres to American English standards and rewriting text for improved clarity and readability.
  • Fact-checking all information presented in materials for publication.
  • Applying the company Style Guide to ensure content aligns with the tone and voice of SolaVieve.
  • Occasionally performing tasks beyond the standard job description as needed.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Currently pursuing or holding a university degree in communications, journalism, or English.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional writing and proofreading capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback.
  • Creative conceptualization skills.
  • Storytelling abilities.
  • Effective time management.
  • Desire to learn and grow.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in content editing.
  • Initial exposure to start-ups or agencies.
