Country Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Country Manager to lead our pet insurance vertical launch in France. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all operations within the French market, ensuring the successful launch of our pet insurance product while developing and leading the local team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the launch of our pet insurance vertical in France, driving business growth and profitability.
- Oversee and manage operations in the French market, including revenue, cash flow, and quality targets.
- Develop and lead a local team with operational roles in sales, customer service, and claims management.
- Conduct market analysis and adapt business strategies to meet market and customer needs.
- Act as an intermediary between central core services and local business needs, ensuring alignment.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including Zurich Germany & Group.
Requirements:
- Completed bachelor's or master's degree in business or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional experience, ideally in fast-paced environments (e.g., startups, consulting).
- Strong experience in the insurance industry (Insurtech, consulting, or similar projects).
- Proven track record in leading teams and managing multi-stakeholder projects.
- In-depth knowledge of French business practices and culture, ideally with expertise in the French insurance market.
- Fluent in French (C2 level or native) and English (C1 level). German is a plus.
