We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Architect to enhance our team.
Your Role
As an IT Infrastructure Architect, you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing the Microsoft technologies infrastructure that aligns with our organizational objectives. Your expertise will ensure that our IT systems are robust, scalable, and secure.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the development of IT infrastructure standards for Windows services across both private and public cloud platforms, working in close collaboration with our global delivery teams.
- Leverage your expertise in Active Directory, Microsoft Infrastructure services, and Azure to create standardized designs that enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Participate in global demand management, facilitating communication with application managers, project teams, and information security to achieve shared objectives.
- Contribute to the advancement of our global infrastructure automation platform and oversee information management initiatives.
- Support the Active Directory, O365, Exchange, and Windows Operating Teams.
- Design and implement enterprise-level hardware and software systems within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Advance IT infrastructure standards for Windows server systems in a multi-cloud environment.
- Execute technical projects related to Windows infrastructure, including Active Directory migrations and integration during mergers and acquisitions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve intricate technical challenges in partnership with other IT professionals.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the Delivery Units and Cloud Transformation teams.
- Ensure compliance and security for all provided solution designs.
- Review and finalize system documentation.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in IT infrastructure engineering, particularly with Microsoft technologies.
- In-depth understanding of network systems, data management, and security protocols.
- Certifications in Microsoft technologies (e.g., MCSE, MCSA).
- Extensive experience within large enterprise environments managing complex IT infrastructures.
- Strong technical knowledge and architectural experience in: Windows server, update management, software distribution, Active Directory, Entra ID, cloud technologies (especially M365, Azure, AWS), MS-SQL, and Exchange.
- Professional experience in establishing and managing client/server architectures.
- Familiarity with related technology areas such as networks, firewalls, virtualization, storage, databases, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- A strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and flexibility, along with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of German is an advantage.
