About the Role

As an Operations Manager at Amazon Logistik Westfalenhuette GmbH - E74, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient fulfillment and dispatch of orders. This key position is responsible for driving operational excellence and creating a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, addressing issues, and positively impacting site performance.
  • Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security.
  • Design and deliver initiatives across sites to enhance operational performance.
A Day in the Life

You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, serving as the key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to drive results and improve processes.

About the Team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) specializes in managing heavy items, such as furniture and large home appliances. Our team is responsible for the entire service, from supply chain fulfillment to delivery and returns. We prioritize customer care, delivering large items, unpacking, assembling, and installing them, and taking away old items when necessary.

Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant field.
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language.
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
  • Experience in a similar logistical working environment.
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
