As we evolve our approach to vendor payments and accounting for Wolt Market, we seek a motivated individual with a strong understanding of commercial and financial principles to manage vendor payments comprehensively. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a newly formed team.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Responsibilities:
- Develop Wolt Market's product selection for each location, collaborating with vendors and supply chain teams to implement projects and trading strategies.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers to establish mutual objectives, optimize cost structures, and promote sustainable profit growth.
- Oversee vendor payments from start to finish, including Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) processes to ensure precise financial reporting and timely supplier payments.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Act as Wolt's representative to vendors regarding invoicing and payment matters.
- Collaborate closely with the central accounts payable and inventory receivable teams to meet payment service level agreements (SLAs) and enhance the efficiency of vendor payments.
- Manage vendor communications and relationships concerning invoicing, ensuring adherence to Wolt's guidelines for prompt and accurate payments.
- Analyze the 3-way matching process (ordered items vs. received goods vs. invoiced amounts) and resolve any disputes related to invoicing to maintain transparency.
- Work alongside technology teams to continuously refine Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and automate vendor invoice and payment workflows.
- Maintain strong internal relationships with stakeholders to swiftly address any financial or invoicing challenges.
Qualifications
- 1.5-3 years of experience in a role with commercial, financial, or supply chain responsibilities.
- Preferred background in grocery retail or relevant experience in key account management, commercial finance, or supply chain.
- Proven ability to solve problems independently in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with finance, accounts payable processes, and knowledge of NetSuite is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to balance hands-on tasks with broader project initiatives.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (including Vlookups, pivot tables, and other advanced functions).
- Fluency in both German and English, spoken and written.
- Eligibility to work within the EU.
