Cost Engineer (m/f/d)
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and assist in cost engineering tasks across various frameworks: from feasibility assessments to implementation recommendations, spanning specific subsystems to end-to-end systems, and covering diverse domains such as Earth Observation, Telecommunications, and Scientific Exploration for a wide range of clients, particularly ESA, EC, and DLR.
- Offer costing expertise to project teams, aiding in the collection and validation of cost data from both internal departments and external partners.
- Coordinate cost engineering efforts to ensure timely and quality delivery of necessary cost analyses, adhering to both customer and internal company standards.
- Support cost optimization initiatives, ensuring that various constraints and requirements (technical, programmatic, financial, etc.) are adequately addressed.
- Ensure that cost analyses are reviewed in accordance with internal policies and are aligned with all relevant stakeholders (management, business development, project teams, departments, procurement, controlling, etc.).
- Contribute to the establishment of internal processes related to cost engineering.
- Assist in defining the set of tools and templates pertinent to cost engineering.
- Participate in organizing and conducting internal training sessions on cost engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Completed studies (Diploma or Master) in aerospace engineering or a related field (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics).
- Significant experience in cost engineering.
- Proficient in the MS Office suite (including VBA coding and advanced skills in MS Word).
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English and German.
- Experience within the space sector.

- Background in system engineering or project management.
