Cost Engineer (m/f/d)
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and assist in cost engineering tasks across diverse projects: from initial feasibility assessments to comprehensive implementation strategies, covering specific subsystems to end-to-end systems, and spanning various sectors including Earth Observation, Telecommunications, and Scientific Exploration. Offer expertise in cost estimation to project teams, aiding in the collection and validation of cost data from both internal departments and external partners. Coordinate cost engineering efforts to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of required cost analyses, adhering to both customer and internal standards. Support cost optimization initiatives, ensuring that all relevant constraints and requirements are adequately considered (technical, programmatic, financial, etc.). Ensure that cost analyses are reviewed in accordance with internal policies and are aligned with all relevant stakeholders (management, business development, project teams, etc.). Contribute to the establishment of internal processes related to cost engineering. Assist in defining the tools and templates necessary for effective cost engineering. Participate in organizing and conducting internal training sessions focused on cost engineering practices.Required Qualifications
Completed degree (Diploma or Master) in aerospace engineering or a related field (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics). Significant experience in cost engineering. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, with advanced skills in VBA coding and MS Word. Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English and German. Experience within the space sector is preferred.Additional qualifications that would be advantageous:
Background in the commercial space industry. Experience in system engineering or project management.What We Offer
