Interim Operations Coordinator, Germany

At BioMarin, our Commercial organization is dedicated to leading global sales and marketing strategies. We are committed to enhancing our commercial presence not only in the United States and Europe but also in rapidly expanding regions such as Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an Interim Operations Coordinator to provide high-quality administrative support with a focus on budget management and event planning.
Key Qualifications:
- Completed commercial or comparable training
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in office or project management
- Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written
- Excellent self-organization and multitasking abilities
- Strong learning capacity and adaptability
- Proficient in solution-oriented work
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Experience in event management is a plus
- Technical affinity is advantageous
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical transparency and local codes is beneficial
- Medical background knowledge is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the administrative office team according to business requirements and guidelines
- Prepare for and engage in internal and area team meetings
- Clarify processes with Finance, Compliance, and Legal departments
- Collaborate closely with EUCAN Admin Leads on related projects
Project Management Duties:
- Organize Commercial and Medical Third-Party events, as well as BioMarin meetings
- Communicate and cooperate with the sales team to execute events
- Prepare contracts for sponsors, speakers, consultants, and participants
- Coordinate contract development with external parties and our compliance and legal teams
- Ensure timely approval processes for event materials
- Manage project budgets and adhere to financial processes
- Coordinate travel arrangements for participants
- Document compliance requirements and associated costs
- Maintain an annual overview of events/projects and related budgets
- Work closely with the Compliance department on Transparency Reports
Budget Management:
- Support the Marketing/Product Manager with contract and budget oversight
- Manage budgets for all BASE products in collaboration with the Accounting Department and Budget Owners
- Track actual expenditures against planned budgets and prepare forecasts
