Procurement Operations Specialist

Overview of the Position
In this role, you will be responsible for executing procurement processes, including managing master data, approving purchase requisitions, and conducting spot purchases. As a Buyer, your objective will be to deliver a professional procurement service to Mitsubishi Chemical Europe, ensuring that all goods and services are acquired efficiently on a daily basis while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Purchase-to-Pay Operations: Manage purchase requisitions, order processing, and effective procurement activities within the designated region.
- Meet Procurement Objectives: Assist in achieving both qualitative and quantitative purchase-to-pay goals.
- Define Operational Buying Goals: Contribute to establishing operative buying targets based on the operations and insights from the Regional Hub.
- Ensure Proper Ordering: Order goods and materials responsibly, adhering to business specifications and category management guidelines.
- Uphold Vendor Standards: Maintain transparency and integrity in external vendor agreements and master data, in line with category team requirements.
- Foster Collaborative Success: Work effectively with team members, category teams, and the wider EMEA procurement organization.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in procurement within an international context.
- Knowledge of PR-PO processing and master data management methodologies.
- Familiarity with purchase-to-pay processes and experience with ERPs, such as SAP.
- Proficient in MS Office, spend analytics tools, and e-sourcing platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to build effective relationships with diverse and international procurement teams.
- A proactive and ownership-driven approach in a professional setting.
- Business fluency in English and German.
