Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for executing procurement processes, including managing master data, processing purchase requisitions, and facilitating spot purchases. As a Procurement Specialist at Mitsubishi Chemical Europe, your focus will be on delivering a professional procurement service that ensures the effective acquisition of goods and services on a daily basis while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Purchase-to-Pay Processes: Manage requisitions, order fulfillment, and procurement activities within the designated region.
- Meet Procurement Objectives: Assist in achieving both qualitative and quantitative targets related to purchase-to-pay operations.
- Define Operational Buying Goals: Contribute to the establishment of operative buying objectives based on regional operations and insights.
- Ensure Proper Ordering: Execute responsible ordering of goods and materials in accordance with business requirements and category management standards.
- Uphold Vendor Standards: Maintain transparency and integrity in vendor agreements and master data, adhering to category team protocols.
- Foster Collaborative Success: Work effectively with team members, category teams, and the wider EMEA procurement network.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in procurement within an international context.
- Knowledge of purchase requisition and order processing, as well as master data management.
- Familiarity with purchase-to-pay processes and experience with ERP systems, such as SAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, spend analysis tools, and e-sourcing platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to build effective relationships with diverse and international procurement teams.
- A proactive and ownership-driven approach in a professional setting.
- Business fluency in English and German.
