Operational Procurement Specialist

About the Role
You will be responsible for managing the purchasing-to-pay process, including master data management, purchase requisitioning, and spot buying. As a key member of the Mitsubishi Chemical Europe team, you will provide a professional procurement service to ensure all goods and services are purchased effectively on a day-to-day basis.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage Purchase-to-Pay Operations: Oversee purchase requisitions, order processing, and effective procurement within the region.
- Achieve Procurement Targets: Support the achievement of qualitative and quantitative purchase-to-pay targets.
- Set Operative Buying Targets: Contribute to defining operative buying targets based on Regional Hub operations and experience.
- Ensure Effective Ordering: Responsibly order goods and materials in alignment with business specifications and category management terms.
- Maintain Vendor Integrity: Ensure transparency and integrity of external vendor agreements and master data in accordance with category team standards.
- Collaborate for Success: Collaborate effectively within the team, with category teams, and the broader EMEA procurement organization.
Your Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in purchasing in an international environment.
- Familiarity with PR-PO processing and master data management practices.
- Experience in purchase-to-pay procedures and familiarity with ERPs, such as SAP.
- Proficient in MS Office, spend analytics tools, and e-sourcing platforms.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Building effective relationships with varied and international procurement teams.
- Ownership-oriented approach in the professional environment.
- Business fluent in English and German.
