European Lifecycle Services Director

As a Lifecycle Services Manager at Copeland, you will have a significant impact on our clients by ensuring the delivery of exceptional technical support through the coordination of our skilled technician teams across Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and strategically develop the European aftermarket sector, encompassing parts, installations, and service. Formulate strategies and business plans aimed at expanding the aftermarket, including budget allocations and actionable plans to achieve growth objectives.
- Analyze existing procedures to identify best practices that can drive growth. Implement safety measures and enhance service quality to meet customer expectations while achieving market expansion. Collaborate closely with regional management to transition from current practices to new strategic initiatives.
- Identify and assess market opportunities such as refurbishments, upgrades, remote diagnostics, and troubleshooting. Conduct market sizing and financial analyses to quantify potential growth and profitability.
- Oversee the operations of field service teams, ensuring timely and professional technical solutions for our customers. Evaluate customer inquiries to determine appropriate service responses and engage in problem-solving and root cause analysis as necessary.
- Cultivate a robust and diverse service organization through positive and inclusive leadership. Implement organizational changes that facilitate operational enhancements.
- Own and manage service performance metrics to enhance aftermarket results through analysis and implementation of improvements. Establish and execute both short-term and long-term goals, policies, and operational procedures, while developing necessary departmental budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety legislation, policies, and company guidelines in all activities.
- Collaborate effectively with various functions and departments, including Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Product Support, and Quality.
- Undertake special projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Technical expertise relevant to the plastics machinery sector, with systems widely utilized in packaging, medical, automotive, and consumer electronics.
- Proven experience in a similar managerial role with leadership responsibilities.
- A proactive mindset and logical problem-solving approach, particularly under pressure. Ability to drive collaboration and organizational change across functions and regions.
- Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to create comprehensive strategic business plans for aftermarket services.
- Proven prioritization skills and adaptability to rapidly changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities, capable of translating complex technical information into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical background in servicing plastics machinery.
- Experience in a leadership role within a similar context.
