European Lifecycle Services Director

Position Overview:

As the Lifecycle Service Manager for Europe at Emerson, you will have a significant impact on our customer satisfaction by ensuring the delivery of exceptional technical services across the continent. Your role will involve leading a team of skilled technicians dedicated to providing top-notch support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic development of the European aftermarket sector, encompassing parts, installations, and service. Formulate a comprehensive strategy and business plan aimed at expanding the aftermarket business, including budget allocation and actionable plans to achieve growth objectives.
  • Analyze existing processes to identify best practices that can facilitate growth. Implement strategies to enhance safety, service quality, and market expansion, collaborating closely with regional management to transition from current practices to innovative strategies.
  • Identify and assess market opportunities such as refurbishments, upgrades, remote diagnostics, and troubleshooting. Conduct market and financial analyses to quantify potential growth and profitability.
  • Oversee the operations of field service teams, ensuring timely and professional technical solutions for customers. Engage in problem-solving and root cause analysis as necessary.
  • Foster a strong and diverse service organization through positive leadership. Define and implement structural changes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor service performance metrics to drive improvements in aftermarket results. Establish and implement both short-term and long-term goals, policies, and procedures, while managing departmental budgets essential for service operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments, including Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Product Support, and Quality.
  • Engage in special projects as required.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need:
  • A technical background with expertise in developing strategies for servicing machinery used in diverse sectors such as packaging, medical, automotive, and electronics.
  • Experience in a leadership or management position within a similar field.
  • A proactive mindset and logical problem-solving skills, particularly under pressure. Ability to drive organizational change across functions and regions.
  • A strong business acumen with a proven track record in creating strategic business plans for aftermarket services.
  • Exceptional prioritization skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical expertise in servicing machinery across various industries.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role within a similar context.
