HR Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Payroll Specialist to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our Global Human Resources team, you will be responsible for managing the monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with tax and social security regulations, and providing expert advice on payroll-related matters.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide expert advice on payroll-related matters, including tax and social security regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Act as a point of contact for employees and managers, responding to queries and providing guidance on payroll-related issues.
- Liaise with social insurance providers, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and compliance.
- Contribute to digitalisation projects, working closely with the team to implement new processes and systems.
- Several years of professional experience in human resources, with a focus on income tax and social security law or payroll.
- Completed commercial training or a degree in economics, business administration, or a comparable qualification.
- Advanced knowledge of payroll-related topics, including holidays, part-time work, maternity leave, and parental leave.
- Knowledge of payroll accounting systems, ideally SAP (HCM).
- Fluent German and conversational English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
