Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Talent Manager/HR Business Partner to join our team at Oliver Wyman. As a key member of our HR function, you will work closely with the Regional Head of SP Talent Management to develop, execute, and support all talent management initiatives for our Support Professional (SP) population.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to client groups on all SP-related matters.
  • Help execute and deliver on regional and global talent initiatives to enhance the employee and manager experience.
  • Support various functional areas during major annual initiatives, such as performance management and year-end compensation processes.
  • Contribute to talent discussions, including talent reviews, career pathing, and professional development frameworks.
  • Provide guidance to SP employees and managers on all stages of the employee lifecycle.
  • Deliver monthly talent management overviews to new joiners.
  • Build relationships with local HC teams and work together on talent management-related initiatives.
  • Work with local HC Operations to capture documentation and update Workday related to employee promotions, transfers, and role changes.
Performance Management
  • Contribute to the implementation and training of global performance management tools and processes.
  • Support managers and employees relative to content, ratings consistency, and process timelines.
  • Provide guidance on professional development and training needs.
Compensation
  • Work closely with the Compensation team to request benchmark data as part of the annual year-end compensation process.
  • Support the year-end compensation process for Support Professionals to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, compliance, and equity.
Recruiting, Culture Building & Retention
  • Partner with SP Recruiting to stay apprised of hiring needs and raise concerns.
  • Assist with keeping a pulse check on employee morale across the region and raise concerning trends to the Regional Head of SP Talent Management.
  • Follow-up on work-life quality concerns with local HC and employees and escalate where needed.
  • Help build a community for SP managers who leverage one another's expertise and serve as a support system.
  • Support delivery of talent retention and career development strategies.
Project Management
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of talent-related projects for SPs.
Requirements
  • Several years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a comparable HR function.
  • Solid knowledge of German employment law.
  • Strong written and verbal English and German communication skills.
  • Strong client relationship skills and ability to establish positive working relationships.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a collaborative team.
  • Strong desire and passion for helping teams and functions grow and develop.
  • Results-oriented approach to daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a global team with a regional focus.
Technical Skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • HRIS experience is a plus with experience in Workday preferred.
