Your Role:

  • Engage early in the new product development process as a cost and value engineer for mechanical commodities
  • Create transparency in costs, establish target costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product designs for cost efficiency and sustainability
  • Conduct competitor analysis and recommend design modifications for improved competitive positioning
  • Work alongside procurement engineers to oversee cost implementation
Your Profile:

  • University degree in Mechanical or (Industrial) Engineering
  • Extensive experience in product development or cost and value engineering
  • Proven success in implementing improvement measures
  • Proficient in managing mechanical commodities such as casting, machining, and assembly processes
  • Team-oriented with strong communication and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is an advantage
