About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost and Value Engineer to join our team at Innomotics GmbH, a leading company in the field of power electronics and motion control. As a Cost and Value Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cost-effectiveness and competitiveness of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies and initiatives to reduce costs and improve profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product designers, engineers, and procurement specialists, to ensure that cost considerations are integrated into the product development process.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking to identify areas for cost improvement and optimize product designs.
  • Work closely with suppliers to negotiate contracts and component costs, ensuring that Innomotics GmbH receives the best possible prices.
  • Develop and maintain cost models and databases to support cost analysis and optimization efforts.
  • Provide cost estimates and forecasts for new products and projects, ensuring that costs are accurately predicted and managed.
Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cost engineering, product development, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives and strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English, with a good knowledge of German.
