About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost and Value Engineer to join our team at Innomotics GmbH, a leading company in the field of power electronics and motion control. As a Cost and Value Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cost-effectiveness and competitiveness of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost-saving measures to reduce production costs and improve product profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that design-to-cost and design-to-value principles are considered early in the product development phase.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking to identify areas for improvement and optimize product designs for cost efficiency and sustainability.
  • Work closely with product designers and engineers to optimize product designs for cost efficiency and sustainability.
  • Develop and maintain cost models to ensure accurate cost estimation and forecasting.
  • Provide cost transparency and support to procurement engineers in negotiating contracts and component costs.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for standardization and harmonization to leverage pooling potentials.
Requirements
  • University degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, systems engineering, production engineering, or cost and value engineering for mechanical commodities.
  • Proven track record of defining and implementing improvement measures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, with a good knowledge of German.
