Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator


We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator to join our team at Summit Recruitment AG. As a key member of our technology consulting team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support and guidance to clients across various industries in Switzerland.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Database Setup and Configuration: Design and implement Oracle databases that meet the specific needs of our clients, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize speed and efficiency, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Backup and Recovery Strategies: Develop and implement robust backup strategies to ensure data integrity and recoverability in case of system failures.
  • Database Updates and Patches: Apply updates and patches to keep the database up-to-date and secure, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Issue Resolution and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Data Replication and Migration: Utilize technologies such as RMAN duplicate to replicate, filter, and migrate data efficiently and securely.


Requirements:


  • Education: Degree or higher education in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience: Strong Oracle Database experience as a DBA or a Consultant, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Skills: Expertise in Oracle Tuning and RMAN, with experience in deploying and configuring high-availability databases.
  • Language: Fluency in German (C1+) and proficiency in English.
  • Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Switzerland.
