As a prominent figure and key contributor within our consulting practice, this senior-level role is dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and innovative solution leadership to project teams. You will spearhead the design and implementation phases of engagements, ensuring that we provide high-quality, integrated software solutions while adhering to time and budget constraints.

POSITION OVERVIEW – Cloud Technology Architect

In this role, you will collaborate closely with a team of Architects and Consultants. Your responsibilities will be twofold: actively participating in projects aimed at achieving delivery objectives and developing solutions while offering best practices on the architectures and product technologies utilized, whether they are on-premises, in the cloud (public or private), multicloud, or hybrid infrastructures.

As a versatile Cloud Architect with a specialization in the design and delivery of next-generation cloud solutions, you will:

Conduct assessments and workshops with both technical and business stakeholders to define and demonstrate the value of Oracle's Cloud Stack. Collaborate with clients, addressing both technical and non-technical aspects, to deliver solutions that meet or exceed their expectations. Engage with clients to ensure their service requirements are met and that deliverables align with Oracle's high standards of quality. Leverage deep customer insights to provide a competitive edge. Exhibit commercial awareness when advising clients. Continuously enhance and maintain knowledge of relevant Oracle products and services within the rapidly evolving cloud landscape. Actively participate in the internal community, contributing to the growth of our Consulting Intellectual Property asset library by sharing knowledge, experiences, and materials related to delivery experiences. Build and sustain strong relationships with the product management team.

Essential Skills/Qualifications

A minimum of 5+ years of proven experience in designing and implementing solutions primarily based on cloud architectures (Private or Public, including OCI, AWS, Azure, and Google). Strong understanding of cloud services design and delivery models: IaaS and PaaS. Proficiency in database technologies and hands-on experience. A keen interest in technology topics such as cloud, virtualization, and grid computing. A professional demeanor and attitude. Quick learner with strong self-motivation. Excellent problem-solving, planning, and self-management abilities. Significant experience in defining and implementing conceptual solutions. Willingness to travel primarily within Germany and Austria. Candidates should be located within Germany or Austria, with preferred locations including Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, or Vienna. In-depth knowledge in one or more of the following areas is required: OCI, OSC, or other vendors such as Azure, AWS, or Google; database cloud services; cloud automation tools; conceptual knowledge of networks, firewalls, VPNs, or gateways; Exadata expertise; Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC); Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, performance tuning, or migration; Enterprise Manager Cloud Control; resource management; virtualization; or OS Linux.

Desirable but Not Essential

Experience with Oracle Golden Gate. Familiarity with DevOps and Agile methodologies.

Additional Skills/Qualifications

Results-oriented mindset during client-facing activities, including the ability to identify quick-win solutions based on client needs. Comfort in developing and presenting solutions to both IT and business users using appropriate approaches and language. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A solid understanding of overall technologies and solutions. Fluency in German and a good command of English.

Additionally, you will provide guidance and mentorship to project teams and effectively influence customer leadership on key decisions. You will support business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions, collaborating with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise, and resolving complex customer issues through recommended solutions. Your expertise will span multiple business processes across two or more product families, or you will have the ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products, making decisions based on the overall impact across the stack.
