Customs Process Coordinator

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Process Coordinator to join our team at Maersk. As a key member of our customs services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth processing of customs declarations for imported goods into Germany via sea and air.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and laws, including the verification of documents and permits.
- Coordinate and organize the full range of customs services, from order acceptance to release of goods and customs clearance.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and minimize disruptions.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and customs authorities to secure necessary information for customs clearance.
- Review and organize all incoming notifications and information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in customs-related projects as required to drive process improvements and efficiency.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of proven work experience in customs or forwarder logistics area.
- Customs declarant certificate is an asset.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to adapt to new customs software.
- English B1.
- German B2.
- Ability to meet customer requirements (Internal & External).
- Attention to details and deadlines.
- Team engagement and support.
- Understanding and implementation of Best Practice and Continuous Improvement.
