Job Overview

As a Business Development Representative at IFS, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth through outbound and inbound prospecting, and lead development. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong understanding of finance and/or back-office applications to engage prospects, identify customer needs, and establish IFS as a potential solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize various channels to engage prospects and qualify them as valid sales opportunities, leveraging research and understanding of the prospect and IFS Ultimo.
  • Develop cold accounts into warm and targeted accounts through value-driven efforts, aggressively targeting accounts within specific industries that IFS has identified.
  • Regularly communicate with sales representatives to review assigned accounts and make necessary adjustments, working alongside Account Executives to set meetings and penetrate targeted accounts.
  • Maintain relationships with an assigned group of target accounts, developing value in working with IFS Ultimo.
  • Understand the functional competitive advantages of the IFS Ultimo solution set and customize messaging to gain traction in accounts.
  • Work through 'Gatekeepers' to gain access to the relevant person/s in the prospective organization hierarchy, understanding where the decision makers are located.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales and marketing teams to develop the territory and identify high-quality opportunities, helping Marketing implement account-based marketing campaigns based on account plans built in conjunction with sales, pre-sales, and marketing.
  • Keep accurate electronic records of calls and contacts, updating prospect status within the contact management application.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1+ years of proven software telemarketing, business development, inside sales, or software sales experience.
  • Ability to ask open-ended questions to uncover needs, learn more about the prospect, and better qualify.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Highly coachable, willing to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a specific emphasis on telephone skills.
  • Must be fluent in both German and English languages.
  • Experience with contact management applications, such as SalesLoft or Outreach.
