Mission of the Role:

Stryker's Trauma division provides industry-leading solutions for treating both long and small bone fractures. Our extensive portfolio includes a wide range of intramedullary nails, external fixation devices, plating systems, and hand/wrist joint solutions. As the Brand Manager for Trauma, you will spearhead market share expansion through the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives. You will serve as the European brand authority, setting the strategic course and ensuring effective execution for portfolio enhancement through marketing campaigns, strategy development, and educational initiatives for both internal and external stakeholders.

This position will report to the Senior Manager of Marketing for Trauma in Europe and offers the flexibility to be based in any of our European locations, with a hybrid work model.

Your Responsibilities:

  • In alignment with global strategies, you will take ownership of crafting the annual and long-term strategy for our Trauma product line in Europe to meet growth, profitability, and market share objectives.
  • You will gain insights into customer values regarding our Trauma offerings and leverage these insights to create compelling messaging strategies.
  • Collaborating closely with local marketing teams, you will lead the execution of downstream initiatives to enhance market share while contributing to upstream marketing efforts to ensure that development projects meet European customer needs.
  • You will create and distribute scalable marketing assets, tools, campaigns, and best practices.
  • In partnership with the Education Manager, you will identify opportunities for education, brand experiences, and customer engagement for both internal and external audiences.
  • Building trust and strong relationships with the European Trauma & Extremities (T&E) Leadership Team, local marketers, sales teams, internal stakeholders, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) will be essential.
  • You will mentor and guide interns within the team.

Key Activities:

  • Collaborating with the broader European Central and Local Marketing teams, you will drive the creation of the Annual Marketing Plan (AMP) and a 3-5 year portfolio roadmap.
  • You will work with local Trauma Leadership and Marketing teams to ensure forecast accuracy and develop an appropriate demand plan, fostering strong relationships with Supply Chain partners.
  • You will define and manage the regional product life cycle, including product launches and phase-outs.
  • Providing analysis of the Trauma portfolio performance, brand perception, and other factors influencing future brand success will be part of your role. You will understand the financial performance and key metrics of your portfolio and communicate these effectively.
  • You will collaborate with divisional resources to enhance the portfolio through new product development, line extensions, and potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Developing pan-European customer engagement activities such as facility tours, events, congresses, and medical education programs will be key. You will also lead efforts to cultivate KOLs for the Trauma portfolio.
  • You will oversee branding, messaging, positioning, and pricing strategies for assigned brands based on market, customer, and competitive insights.
  • Collaboration with other divisions of Stryker will be essential to drive growth and enhance customer value.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Economics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, with a significant portion in the MedTech or healthcare sector.
  • A proven track record of leading successful marketing initiatives, including marketing plans, product launches, and campaigns.
  • Strong leadership experience in cross-functional projects, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across functions and geographies.
  • Broad experience in supporting sales teams and customer-facing activities.
  • A demonstrated ability to analyze key customer and competitive trends.
  • Experience in commercializing products to drive growth.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional European language is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
