About the Role:

The Trauma division at Stryker provides leading solutions for treating both long and small bone fractures. Our extensive portfolio includes a variety of intramedullary nails, external fixation systems, plating solutions, and hand/wrist joint products. More information can be found on our website.

As the Brand Manager for Trauma, you will spearhead market share expansion through the development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives. You will serve as the European brand authority, guiding strategic direction and ensuring effective execution for portfolio growth through marketing campaigns, strategy development, and educational initiatives for both internal and external stakeholders.

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Marketing for Trauma in Europe and offers flexibility with a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shape the annual and long-term strategy for our Trauma product portfolio in Europe, aligning with global objectives to meet growth, profit, and market share targets.
  • Gain insights into customer values related to our Trauma offerings and leverage these insights to create impactful messaging strategies.
  • Collaborate with local marketing teams to lead execution efforts that drive market share growth while contributing to upstream marketing initiatives that meet European customer needs.
  • Develop and distribute scalable marketing assets, tools, and best practices.
  • Work with the Education Manager to identify opportunities for education, brand engagement, and customer interaction for both internal and external audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with the European Trauma & Extremities Leadership Team, local marketers, sales teams, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Mentor and guide interns within the team.

Essential Activities:

  • Collaborate with European Central and Local Marketing teams to create the Annual Marketing Plan (AMP) and a portfolio roadmap for the next 3-5 years.
  • Partner with local Trauma Leadership and Marketing teams to enhance forecast accuracy and establish a robust demand plan, fostering strong relationships with Supply Chain partners.
  • Define and manage the regional product life cycle, including product launches and phase-outs.
  • Analyze the performance of the Trauma portfolio, brand perception, and other factors influencing future brand success. Communicate financial performance and key metrics effectively.
  • Collaborate with divisional resources to enhance the portfolio through new product development, line extensions, and potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Develop pan-European customer engagement initiatives such as facility tours, events, congresses, and medical education programs, while cultivating KOLs for the Trauma portfolio.
  • Oversee branding, messaging, positioning, and pricing strategies for assigned brands based on market insights.
  • Collaborate with other Stryker divisions to drive growth and enhance customer value.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with a significant portion in the MedTech or healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrated success in leading marketing projects, including marketing plans, product launches, and campaigns.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and build relationships across functions and geographies.
  • Experience supporting sales and customer-facing activities in the field.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess customer and competitive trends.
  • Proven track record in product commercialization to drive growth.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional European language is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%.
