Role Overview

The Lead Sales Strategist oversees various sales divisions, including external sales, internal sales, channel sales, or third-party sales, aimed at enhancing market penetration through initiatives that generate additional revenue from both new and existing clients. This role involves defining and communicating the sales process and the factors that drive sales effectiveness. The Lead Sales Strategist fosters collaboration across different business functions to optimize efficiency and provide a cohesive response to client needs. Additionally, this position may involve managing contract renewal processes for current clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs and prioritizes the annual sales strategy to align with net revenue goals. Provides precise and detailed sales forecasts.
  • Develops strategic engagement opportunities to expand referral partner client portfolios. Implements retention strategies and enhances client experience.
  • Conducts regular and strategic business reviews with customers, partners, managers, and merchant advocates to cultivate a robust pipeline of new business opportunities and maintain essential relationships.
  • Ensures all communications are synchronized and support sales objectives to fulfill organizational requirements. Aids in establishing and maintaining internal and external service level expectations.
  • Collaborates closely with all departments to create successful support and partner programs, fostering a culture of mutual success.
  • Utilizes new products and capabilities to optimize revenue growth.
  • Recommends enhancements to sales strategies and tactics based on market analysis and competitor insights. Strengthens cross-departmental alignment.
  • Fosters a culture of achievement that builds, develops, and manages multiple sales teams capable of executing budgeted sales and service initiatives. Cultivates a high-performing team of sales leaders and merchant advocates through effective recruitment, onboarding, training, and talent development.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant experience or degree in a related field from an accredited institution is preferred. Consideration will be given to relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related professional experience, including at least 3-4 years in a supervisory role.
