Position Summary:

The role involves identifying, developing, and executing strategies to engage significant accounts that warrant focused Industry Segment Sales efforts. The incumbent will be responsible for cultivating business opportunities and partnerships within targeted client companies across various industry segments, including Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Semiconductor, Electronics, Medical, Printing, Process Automation, Mobile Pneumatics, Food & Packaging, and Consumer Products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and sustain specific sales targets within the designated Industry Segment, in collaboration with the local sales management team and the segment IS Manager.
  • Identify and pursue potential customers while maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients to boost market penetration and sales performance.
  • Assess customer needs and provide tailored solutions through Festo's diverse product and service offerings.
  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with key personnel in targeted Industry Segment Customer organizations, including purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and management.
  • Engage in trade show exhibitions as directed, addressing inquiries from potential and existing customers to enhance market share and sales performance.
  • Contribute to special projects and assignments as deemed necessary for the promotion of Festo, as assigned by Sales Management.
  • Provide sales forecasts for assigned companies to management as required.
  • Develop and implement strategies that encourage targeted accounts to become viable partners for their automation, controls, and process needs.
  • Reinforce the long-term benefits of an OEM/User strategy to all Festo Sales Personnel and Channel Partners, facilitating growth in market share and sales performance.
  • Compile and manage all data related to contractual agreements, including negotiated pricing, terms, warranties, and service contracts.
  • Organize and deliver professional presentations within targeted client companies and coordinate participation in selected industry exhibitions and conferences.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Core Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of the process automation industry and its applications.
  • Proven success in business development for accounts with extended sales cycles.
  • Willingness to travel as required to fulfill essential job responsibilities.

Preferred Experience / Education:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in business development within the process automation industry, particularly in the designated segment.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Familiarity with SAP and Mosaic is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Festo's product range and systems is preferred, with specific emphasis on Customer Solutions and relevant products.
  • Experience in the designated segment is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of fluid power, electronics, and electromechanical engineering, along with the product scope offered by the company.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products is essential.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
